Conflict Coaching in the Light of the Gospel

Join us for a 6-week Grace to Peace class beginning October 11!

If you would like to learn how to help others restore hurting relationships, we invite you to attend this class on Sunday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 noon in Conference Room 2 upstairs. An overview of the training will be provided on the first day of class at 10 a.m. to help you decide if you want to continue.

CONFLICT often catches us off guard and causes us to say or do things we later regret. Sometimes we try to escape conflict through denial and avoidance. Other times we use attack responses in an effort to get our way.

The GOSPEL is the Good News that God has already made peace with us through Jesus Christ, so we can now have peace with others.

We believe that conflict provides opportunities to:
  • Glorify God,
  • Serve Other People, and
  • Grow to Be Like Christ.
CAN Grace to Peace HELP YOU?
  • Are you having a hard time getting along with another Christian? With a family member? With a co-worker or supervisor? With a neighbor?
  • Do you feel confused, angry or alone—and don’t know what to do about it?
  • Do you have an unresolved conflict that makes life awkward or causes frequent feelings of guilt, fear, or anxiety?
The Grace to Peace Ministry is designed to partner with you to help restore hurting relationships.

A CONFLICT COACH can help you see your conflict in the light of the Gospel. There is hope and help in the conflicts and frustrations that disrupt our lives and damage our relationships.

Conflict Coaches do not provide professional counseling or legal advice. They offer compassionate listening, prayer, and biblical advice on how you can respond to conflicts including those in your marriage, family, church, community, or workplace.

When you invite a Conflict Coach into the situation, he or she will spend time with you 1-on-1 to help you understand How the Grace of God can bring the Peace of Christ into every conflict.

How Can a Conflict Coach Help You?

“We had reached a serious deadlock in our marriage and we thank God for the Conflict Coach, who helped us to understand and forgive each other.”

“Conflict with our son had gotten so intense that we were yelling at each other. We made an appointment for conflict coaching. He gave us the advice we needed to work out our differences and have a more peaceful family.”

“A friend had offended me and I felt so much bitterness that I could not take communion until I talked with a Conflict Coach. She taught me biblical principles for going to my friend to work things out.”

“I was frustrated with my supervisor and frequently gossiped about him. It really helped to have someone to talk with and plan how to relate to him in a better way.”

“I made one of my neighbors really mad. She glared at me for several days, but then I talked with a Conflict Coach. He showed me how to approach her and ask for forgiveness. It has been a witness to the whole neighborhood.”

Southside Fellowship Conflict Coaches have been trained using resources from Peacemaker Ministries (peacemaker.net) and CCEF (ccef.org).

If you prefer, you may contact one of our pastors who are also available to provide you with biblical counsel in resolving a conflict.

If you are involved in a complex business or legal dispute that may require formal mediation or arbitration, you may be referred to a Certified Christian Conciliator.
