As a community of grace, we want to provide opportunities for those in our
fellowship to care for one another in very practical ways. Whether you have a
need or would like to extend care to others who are experiencing difficulties,
we invite you to express your interest by contacting any of the care ministries
listed below.
Counseling
Contact Raydell Tedder
Our lay counseling ministry is designed to provide biblical-based counseling in a church setting.
We have competent, skilled counselors who can help address your situation in a godly and professional
way. Pre-marital counseling is required in order to be married at Southside Fellowship. For more
information about any form of counseling, contact Raydell.
GriefShare
If you’ve experienced the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend, you’ve probably found that there aren’t many people who understand the deep hurt you feel. That’s the reason for GriefShare, a special seminar and support group for people grieving the loss of someone close. During the 13-week session, those in the group will view videos and participate in small group discussions with others who have experienced a loss. GriefShare currently meets from 6:45 – 9 p.m. on Thursday evenings at Southside Fellowship. If you have any questions about GriefShare, please contact Sharon O’Neal.
Separation/Divorce Recovery
Contact Sharon O’Neal
This support group helps those going through a separation or a divorce deal with the pain and confusing issues that relate. Divorce Care meets weekly for 13 sessions and features videos as well as discussions. Call Mike and Patty Chewning at 864.281.0464 with any questions or the church office for details.
Peacemakers Ministry
As people reconciled to God, we believe that we are called to respond to conflict in a way that is remarkably
different from the way the world deals with conflict. We also believe that conflict provides opportunities to
glorify God, serve other people, and grow to be like Christ. Therefore, if conflicts between individuals arise
we will seek to use biblical conflict resolution through the church.
If you are currently experiencing conflict that you are unable to resolve and would like to seek the guidance
of a biblically trained Conflict Coach, please contact Lori Johnson.
